Matthew 6:14-15 - For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

John 13:34 - A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

Say So: I make the choice to forgive, recognizing that forgiveness is not based on how I feel, but is an extension of the law of Kingdom love and a commandment. I choose to forgive and walk in obedience to the Word.

Colossians 3:13 (NIV) - Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Ephesian 5:1-2 - Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love…

Say So: Lord, you forgave me as an act of Your great love when I was steeped in sin. As your child, I make the choice to forgive, just as You made the choice to forgive me. I will imitate You and walk in love and forgive. Thank You for strengthening me in this decision.

Ephesians 4:31-32 - Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

1 John 4:7 - Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God

Say So: I will not give in to bitterness, wrath, anger, or resentment, nor will I give in to speaking evil of others. Regardless of how others treat me, I will do my best to respond with kindness and the love of God. I choose to forgive; I choose the love of God.

Matthew 18:21-22 - Then Peter came to Him and said, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven."

1 Corinthians 13:4-5 (NIV) - Love is patient, love is kind… it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Say So: I choose to walk in the love of God and forgive others. I will not be easily angered, nor will I keep a record of the wrongs done toward me. I will continue to forgive with the same forgiveness the Lord has toward me.

Luke 6:37 - (Jesus said) Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Matthew 7:12 - Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Say So: As a child of God, I will treat others the way I want to be treated. I will refrain from judging and condemning others. I choose to forgive and will respond to others with the love of God. This is what I am called to do.

Romans 12:20-21- If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

2 Corinthians 5:14 - For the love of Christ compels us [controls, urges & moves us to Christ-like action].

Say So: As a born-again child of God, I am compelled with the love of God. When people wrong me, I will respond with His love. I will not repay evil with evil, but will overcome evil with the awesome power of the love of God.
